Night Owls

Lots going on and we'll let you in on the secrets we're currently keeping to ourselves in the New Year. In the meantime here's a recent illustration of some owls. It's also up in our Society6 shop as a print and funky pillow.

Pillows!

We're back! (did you notice we were gone?) Apologies for the lack of posting the last couple of months, we've been extremely busy with secret projects that we're not allowed to tell anyone about. All will be revealed next year when we will be able to unzip our tightly shut lips.

In the meantime Society6 have added pillows to their range of already fantastic products. Do check them out, they would be superb Christmas presents (just saying). We'll be back later in the week with some new illustrations for you to gander at (we're now off to have a pillow fight).

Polar Blog Post

We have a little post up on the Polar Tumblr today. They love red and white stuff and our Lost at Sea images fit right in with the stripy tops the characters wear. Check out the rest of their blog as there's some really nice red and white themed work on it.

Lost at Sea - The final set

And as all beginnings have to have an end, here's our final Lost at Sea set in all its glory. This has been a great thing to experiment with and it all came from a doodle of a bear with an eye patch wearing a stripy top! All prints are available to purchase from our Society6 store.

We're pleased to say that our Society6 print 'A Sailors Life For Me' has been selected by Urban Outfitters for their online print shop. Check out the site here. Watch out for the remaining three in the 'Lost at Sea' series which will make their way online over the next couple of weeks.

Trip to Odds Farm

We're both huge animal lovers and decided we'd take a trip to Odds Farm in Buckinghamshire. It was an educational trip as we took our cameras along to get a few snaps. Hopefully they will inspire some 'farm yard' illustration and plush toys in the near future!

Poolga wallpapers

We're now on Poolga where we join a whole host of amazing creative talent. We created Black Cat and Posh Birds especially for Poolga so they would look great as iPad and iPhone wallpapers. They're 100% free and will jazz your apple product to the max.

Corgi up for scoring

As we had such great feedback from our Jubilee series we thought that One is not amused would be a great entry for a Threadless tee. It's currently up for scoring now so if you want to see it on a t-shirt please vote for it here. Thanks!

Astro Dogs nearly all gone!

Not many of our threadless tee Astro Dogs left on Threadless. There's mainly Kids sizes left so treat your little one (go on, you know you want to). We're currently on the front page which is lovely as the tee is nearly a year old already!

One is not amused

Last in the Jubilee series (better late than never) is the iconic Corgi and famous Queen Victoria quote. We've really enjoyed doing these so expect another series of linked illustrations really soon...

The Artfuls interview

The lovely Tony Lewis of The Artfuls asked us if we'd do an interview for him and we jumped at the chance. It's the first interview we've done as separate people, so it was great to show our different opinions. The site is filled with amazing artists interviews and their artworks. Check out the interview here.

Petunia and her ducklings

As promised, here are Petunia's ducklings. It's weather for ducks at the moment so they will feel right at home. No names for the little duckies yet, so if anyone out there has an idea what to call each one please leave a comment below!

'Ello, 'ello, 'ello!

Hello! Below is the first of three illustrations to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee in June. They'll all have British themes and use the same colour palette - maybe we might decide to get these ones printed... In other news, Jason did an interview for the lovely folks at 1973. If you want to see it and a couple of pictures of Jason and his studio space, take a hop, skip and a jump to here.

Astro Dogs at Threadless HQ

I thought I'd share some photos I found today (courtesy of Nestor Gomez) of Astro Dogs in the Threadless store in Chicago. The store looks awesome and having our tee design splashed all over the place is a great honour, hopefully we'll get to visit Chicago one day and pop in to have a look! The tee sold really well, with all Girly sizes selling out super quick. If you do really want one you could request it by visiting the page here. And if you are a fella and would like to wear the space-aged pooches, there's still some left, but be quick as its in the sale at the mo!

In Bruges

We've just got back from a short trip to the lovely Bruges (it's in Belgium). The holiday was mostly spent eating chocolate, waffles, ice cream, flemish beef stew and drinking Belgian beer (they brew a nice cherry one). The best way to get around Bruges is by bicycle - though your bottom can take quite a battering on all those cobbles! To stay creative we explored all their great book shops, soaked up the local culture and took our trusty Canon along to take loads of photos of everything (pretty much, it is a rather small place). If that's whet your appetite you can find more photos on our Flickr page.
